Mark Hyland founded Hyland Financial in 2000. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Louisville and his MBA from Bellarmine University.

Mark has built Hyland Financial by establishing strong relationships based on the values of trust, honesty and integrity. He believes that successful financial planning is a process that requires an ongoing, open dialogue with the clients he serves. He works to identify the individual goals, objectives, and dreams of each client, which are key to long term financial success.

Hyland Financial has been partnered with one of the industry’s leading broker-dealers, Cambridge Investment Research, Inc. for over 20 years. Founded in 1981, Cambridge has taken its place near the top of the independent broker-dealer channel.

The team of Hyland Financial and Cambridge Investment Research, Inc. provide our clients with the opportunity to work with a “truly” independent financial advisor and benefit from the access to a broad range of financial markets and investment resources. Sean first joined Hyland Financial in August 2009 while working towards his college degree at the University of Louisville. He assisted Mark with consolidating his databases, producing fee & expense, due diligence, and monitoring reports, and other back office functions. After graduating, he has spent 9 years in the Financial Services Industry at River Road Asset Management & Cardinal Pointe Financial Group. He has worked in a number of different departments during his time in the industry, including Compliance, Trading, Financial Planning and Research.

In January 2020, Sean re-joined Hyland Financial as a Financial Advisor/ Planner. His focus in on client relationship support through all phases of the financial planning process, from managing, gathering, and analyzing client financial data, to compiling net worth statements, income and expenditure statements, and financial cash flow forecasts. He provides financial planning recommendations and creative planning strategies for clients and assists with the implementation of these strategies.

Sean graduated from the University of Louisville in 2012 with a B.S.B.A. in Finance and Economics.  He currently holds his FINRA Series 7, FINRA Series 66, and Life & Health insurance licenses. He is currently working towards his Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) certification.  He enjoys golfing, going to concerts, attending sporting events, and spending time with family and friends.

As a Financial Advisor at Hyland Financial, Tanner prides himself on a service-oriented approach to our clients. Since joining the firm in 2014, he strives daily to help clients manage their financial lives more clearly and assist with their financial decisions.  Whether Tanner is helping individual clients or helping business owners manage their company retirement plan, each situation is highly personalized toward the end goals and needs of the client. Specializing in Employer-Sponsored Retirement Plans, Tanner works as a fiduciary with small businesses to develop and manage an Employer Sponsored Retirement Plan (401(k)/Simple/SEP) that fits the financial goals of the owner(s), the company and the Plan participants.

Tanner received his undergraduate degree from the University of Louisville and currently holds his Series 7, Series 66, the Chartered Retirement Plan Specialist designation, life insurance license, as well as being a certified member of the National Social Security Advisors. Outside of the office, Tanner enjoys spending time with family and friends, attending and watching sporting events (Go Cards!), playing golf and being active outdoors.
